Admission Policy

St Edmund’s Montessori operates a fully inclusive Admissions Policy and is open to all members of the community.  Places are offered on a first come first served basis.

After viewing St Edmund’s Montessori at an Open Day, or through a 1:1 appointment, we invite you to complete a registration form for your child.

There is a non-refundable registration fee of £50 for all children.  We will keep your child’s name on a waiting list and offer you a place on the days that you would like your child to attend as soon as we have space available.

We offer a minimum of 2 sessions per week for 0-2 year olds, and a minimum of 3 sessions per week for 3-4 year old children to enable them to derive maximum benefit from all that we offer.

Children ideally attend 5 sessions per week in the year before starting at Primary School.

Our costs are broken down by session as follows:

Breakfast club: 8am-9am £8.50 inclusive of a healthy breakfast.

Morning session: 9am-1pm £26 inclusive of a snack and lunch provided by you.

Afternoon session 1: 1pm-3pm £16 this includes an additional activity provided by a qualified teacher. Full details of these extra activities can be found here.

Afternoon session 2: 3pm-6pm £21 this includes a hot evening meal served at around 5pm.

All day session 1: 8am-6pm £66 with meals as detailed above.

9am-1pm: £29.20

1pm – 6pm: £37.90

1pm-3pm: £16

8am – 6pm: £68

Children in nappies will need to have these provided by their parents.

Our sessions are flexible and we are happy to work with parents to create bespoke sessions, however, children must attend for a minimum session of three hours on any given day.

Should you find yourself requiring childcare at short notice we will do our best to accommodate your needs and one-off ad-hoc sessions are available at a different rate.

Free Education Entitlement:

Your child will be able to access Government funding through the Free Entitlement provided by Essex County Council. It is available for all 3 year olds in the term after their third birthday, and it is available for all 4 year olds. Each eligible child is entitled to a maximum of 15 funded hours per week.

Any entitlement you are eligible for will be deducted from your fees. Payment plans can be arranged if required.
